In a couple months I’m traveling to beautiful Hawaii for a guilt-free respite of fun in the sunny state. But living in the Rocky Mountain region of the continental United States, I am really much more accustomed to clouds and snow, even while in the spring time.

I’ve created a long list of things to be taken care of before I feel ready for my respite from the rigors of life, some items more prudent than others. But the one I’m diiscussing today affects the pale tone of my skin.

I do know that it is a myth that building a foundation suntan might assist you to prevent burning, but that doesn’t halt me from feeling self-conscious and shy about being so pale white and void of a tan in an area where almost everyone is habituated to wearing very little while playing in the sun.
